About Chef Montri...
At New Thai Kitchen we have always wanted to provide consistent outstanding Thai food! The kind of savory meals that Thai food lovers expect to enjoy when they go to a Thai restaurant. This is where one might encounter many choices of entrees with each of them unique. A diversity of savory Thai food with lots of layers to the texture and flavor of each dish.
While other restaurants may have good local talent in their kitchens we felt we needed more. So we went looking for a special chef. One who could help us achieve those goals and we reached out to Thailand to find such a person – Chef Montri. We welcomed Chef Montri Jirititikankit, a talented and awarded chef who has a great history of working in some of the finest restaurants in Southeast Asia.
Chef Montri has worked in many of the five star hotels in Bangkok such as the Grand Hyatt, the Emerald and the Sukothai Hotel just to name a few. He also worked in Dubai at the Sukhothai Restaurant at the Le Meridien Hotel where “Time Out Dubai” Magazine” awarded him and his restaurant “Best Southeast Asian Restaurant in the U.A.E.”in 2006 and 2007. Conde Naste Traveler awarded the Celadon Restaurant in Bangkok “Best in Bangkok” in 2006 while he was the Demi Chef there.
For fruit and vegetable carving, Chef Montri was awarded a silver medal from emirates culinary guild Dubai, UAE.
Every weekend you can see his beautiful fruit carvings in our restaurant. The awards and accolades go on and we are fortunate to have him here at New Thai Kitchen where we can enjoy his creativity and culinary skills. We hope you will come soon and experience his amazing and extensive Thai food creations!
